Molten core elemental weapon design - Swordtember 2022

Designed by me for the Swordtember 2022 art challenge, the prompt for the day was 'Elemental'.

Inspired by the coiled sword iconic to the dark souls series, mixed with the idea of lava production and molten metal being forged.

A sword that some say carries the heart of a volcano within it, this powerful artifact is believed to have been forged deep underground in the oldest of the Earth's natural magics.
It somehow produces uncalculated amounts of heat from one of its ends for anyone who has the capabilites to harness its power.
Molten rock has been noted dripping from the tip on occasion, with increased amounts noted when heat is being called forth.
For reasons currently unexplainable, the sword does not get shorter, nor lighter due to this phenomenon.

The majority of the blade appears to be composed of a navy-hued, ferrous ore, possibly magnetite, flecked with varying degrees of iron, and its oxides.
The 'handle' is relatively cool to the touch, appearing to be due to the high thermal capacity of stone. However, with excessive or prolonged use of the swords heat production powers, this effect is lost.
Intriguingly no matter how hot it becomes, the stone never melts, nor does it lose rigidity or strength as one would expect. The wielder must make sure to constantly monitor the blades state in order to avoid most grievous burns.
