Grandmother Nature

Piece done back in 2021 for a design competition with the theme of 'Fashion Icon'.
I was inspired by the idea that women apparently solidify their own ''look/style'' around their 40s, and this carries with them into old age (the jury is out if men ever achieve this), along with memories of my grandmother who liked to dress up for special occasions. My interpretation of someone considered and 'icon' means someone who has had longevity in a particular field, and the earth/nature are always referred to in the feminine sense (ie, mother nature) so I wanted to present a sort of personification of this which displays the changing of the seasons.
